IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU

I’ve been doing some thinking recently about why it is that I feel so passionately about the course content that I teach, and I realised, that what I am most passionate about, is YOU.

.

I am interested in helping you, educating you, relieving you of your anxieties.

.

It’s about how YOU feel about yourself, your pregnancy, your emotions, your desires or sometimes even your needs for your baby’s birth.

It’s about discovering what YOU want. Not just about the birth itself, but also about what YOU want in your birth partner. What would YOU like from them? What can they do for YOU?

Where would YOU like to have your baby?

Who would YOU like to have with you?

How will you prepare to navigate your way through a birth path that deviates away from your original plan?

I can count on one hand how many women I know who have actually achieved the birth they set out for in terms of their birth plan. I myself am not included on that list. I’ve planned 2 water births now, and neither of my babies have been born in water. Does that mean my births went ‘wrong?’ Did I not have positive experiences? No of course not. They were both awesome in other ways. Better ways, even.

What can you do to take hold of the reigns, be in control of this experience and make it your own.

I’m not talking about having a check list of things that must be ticked off in order to have a positive birth. I’m talking about knowing about all of the possibilities that could potentially arise and you having the emotional and mental strength to go through them with a calm state of mind.

This course allows you to be able to talk to your health provider with knowledge. You can ask the right questions relevant to you to gather more information rather than just follow protocol. You are not on a conveyer belt of pregnant women waiting to give birth. You are a human being with birth rights. These are your individual requirements and they are important.

.

Hypnobirthing techniques can be used anywhere. The beauty of them is that they are in your mind. You can filter out distractions with practice and visualise all kinds of wonderful things when you know how.

This is about your wellness.
