

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
I mean…WOW…what a book!! This is written from the perspective of an NHS midwife (previously a Doula) who highlights the extreme pressures that face maternity care here in the U.K. It is full of passion, heroism, joy, love, trepidation, confrontation, a love for her work and then a hate for her work. CABBAGE LEAVES AND BREASTFEEDING??
Frozen cabbage leaves. Absolutely brilliant for relieving discomfort of blocked ducts and mastitis. They do get a bit whiffy though when they start to warm up under your nursing bra. Needs must though, and believe me, if you are ever to experience blocked ducts and/mastitis you will do ANYTHING to get rid of that discomfort.
