WHAT ARE VISUALISATIONS? - HYPNOBIRTHING.

Visulisation is another word for Daydreaming.

Through your practice you will be daydreaming about something that you would like to happen. You will be visualising your birth and daydreaming about what you are looking forward to the most.

So why does visualisation help so much for birth?

.

It is all to do with the power of the mind over the body. Your mind IS in control of everything that your body does. If you daydream about your baby’s birth positively, your body is more likely to allow that to happen.

.

If you practise in your mind enough times how your body can give birth, then you will be mentally and physically prepared going forward, rather than letting everything take you by surprise and not knowing what to do.

Practising your visualisations is another tool that you will use every single day whenever you have a spare moment right from Class One. It is the repetition of these visualisations that is the real key. You are preparing your brain for something that IS going to happen but you’re putting in the framework of what you want to happen. Clever, huh?

It is a really beautiful and positive thing for you to imagine and prepare yourself for, and yet another way for you to connect with your baby.
