OH, HI THIRD TRIMESTER!

The third trimester, my personal favourite. This is my second pregnancy that has taken me all the way to the third trimester and I have to admit I absolutely love it! It’s a combination of things. No one can mistake me for not being pregnant now, I definitely look like I’m carrying a precious bundle and I most certainly have a waddle of a walk to go with it!

28 weeks onwards is your third trimester, so you still have a way to go yet, but your baby is mainly just piling on the lbs now, and so you may be too. Me personally, I feel the most comfortable in my third trimester. Most women report feeling great in their second trimester, but for me it’s definitely around 32 weeks onwards. I feel good. I feel womanly. I have curves in all the right places and I don’t feel like my body is adjusting to pregnancy anymore, as I have been pregnant for so long now I have become accustomed to the heavy weight, the stretched skin and all of those incredible dance moves the baby likes to show off. I feel so much love and protection towards my bump. It’s just a countdown to full term now when I can write the heading ‘Oh, Hi Baby!’

.

The shear fact that if my baby were to be born now, it has a pretty high chance of surviving outside of the womb (with a little help) is obviously the greatest reason why I feel so great having approached my third trimester, let alone utterly relieved. I can relax a little now.

My appetite has grown, my thirst levels have increased, my walking has become a lot slower and I am just generally taking my time with things, because I can. My work levels however have completely quadrupled! I am busier than ever with you lovely mummies-to-be and I am so grateful and happy that you have chosen me to be a part of this special journey with you. It has been so lovely comparing our bumps and sharing our experiences together. I cannot wait to meet your babies!

The Third Trimester – my absolute fave.
